I dedicate this website to the memory of L. Gerard Perusse, Ph.D. Gerard was dedicated to improving all of our lives through the spread of personal competence to lead successful lives in a democratic culture. He realized that we could not build and maintain a democratic culture without the required psychological and social skills. Thanks for your help and inspiration. The building blocks of psychological competence upon which the content is built were designed and shaped by Drs Albert Bandura, Albert Einstein, Nelson Foote, Leonard Cottrell, Donald Glad, and Robert W. White. To (and I’m sure I’ve left out some people): Thanks for your enthusiasm, trial runs, and applications of the way skills we worked on and practiced. You were the “Alpha Testers” I salute you.
