When she learned the Language of Do, she was able to know when she was on track and when not. She has found a new sense of ease and assurance. Our lives are filled with options, and options, and more options. They give us the opportunity to make choices. Thus, we choose to do certain things over others. However, in a world filled with adjectives---such as cool, sucks, super, stupid, etc., etc., ad nauseam---it is impossible to think straight. Straight thinking generates the energy, drive, and strategies we put forth to welcome and attack our challenges. Do-talk is about actions, happenings, deciding, choosing, and doing --- remember English class, and active verbs --- not, stewing and do-doing. We want descriptive adjectives and adverbs, to a point, such as sad, glad, and sadly and gladly. If this sounds boring and colorless, it isn't, unless of course, you feel you absolutely must live by the evaluative adjectives, or E-adjectives. Do-talk allows us to function more like James Bond or Oprah Winfrey than like the Three Stooges or Major Frank Burns on the television show, M.A.S.H. ********** FOR THE
