If there is a psychological hub that expresses our Consciousness, and which forges and organizes our emotions, behavior and senses, it is probably our Self-talk. By managing and paying attention to our Self-talk, its direction, its vision, its randomness, or its negativity, we carve our pathway to Conscious management of our lives. Depending on what or how we talk to ourselves, we create our path to self-control, strength, and inner peace, or we range to the other end of chaos, confusion, and inner turmoil.

Self-talk is our brains' creation of a leader that has the power to direct the traffic of chemically and electrically ported messages that constantly travel the neural highways. Like leaders of all groups, there are those who have the skills to create harmonious and energizing cultures, those who create chaos, and those who create rigid stifling environments.

Self-talk is to Consciousness as a leader is to its group of people. Its competence depends on its own abilities and the degree of Consciousness. And the alertness of Consciousness depends on the competence of Self-talk as well as its own energy. To the extent Self-talk is articulate and can stimulate and sustain energizing processes, the alertness of Consciousness is expanded. To the extent Consciousness is alert, Self-talk is given the opportunity, through learning, to become articulate so that it is creating Enjoyment, Energy, and Empathy.
