Our Self-Talk determines how we feel and how we act. How good are you at knowing that you are judging yourself and situations rather than breaking them down and telling yourself to think of options and what to do? Are you a person of action, or do you stew and worry a lot? Even nerds think in action---Einstein pictured riding on a wave of light. Do you start and finish, do you start and not finish, or do you put off and never seem to get going? Do you Self-Talk in the Language of Do, or are you judging and evaluating? The Language of Do, particularly when combined with Effort, Focus, Decision-Making, Empathy, and Ego Freedom leads us to peace of mind, quietly energized, and contentment without complacency. On the other hand, we often Live By The Adjective, And Die By The Adjective by judging our lives away. "That's awful, that's great, wonderful, terrible," and so on. It's like watching and listening to the Oscar and Emmy awards, Oprah, Martha Stewart, and the tryout shows, 24/7. This is the language of extremes. It will drive you nuts, if it hasn't already. These are the seeds of anxious stewing, and extreme up and down emotions. Do you want to get away from doing that? Even if you are only doing it 25% of the time? Anything more than 5% of the time pushes too much energy away from you. It prevents vitalizing and lasting enjoyment, fun, close connections, 'absorbedness', and peace of mind.

Have you often felt like you wanted to be much better at starting AND working through tasks, discussions, problem solving, and relationships? You probably haven't realized how many different skills enter into these matters. We usually only hear about traits such as lazy, unmotivated, self-centered, scattered, or dumb to explain such deficiencies. Oh yes, there is the 'tried, un-explanatory, and un-true' saying, "There must be something wrong with me (or her, him, them)."

This is where skills with such unromantic names as Sequencing, Interpersonal Math, and Analysis and Synthesis come in handy. Sequencing keeps you moving along a path. Interpersonal Math (you don't have to be a math nut, might even hurt if you were) helps you see how things are in proportion so they don't get exaggerated or minimized. And Analysis and Synthesis keeps you making sense instead of making crazy.

With all these skills together, you can put power into your life you never thought possible. We can be easily seduced into thinking we can achieve whatever we want without knowing and applying the basics. But the truth is, "Fundamentals are where it's at."

Give yourself an opportunity to get into a new world to balance your thinking and emotions to improve inside and out AND have a great impact on the others you touch. Most of us have been brought up on the destructive brain and body notion that the best thing in life is floating---no concentration, effort, and commitments. The rich can, why can't we? For this reason we have not made it our mode of living to get into things, and lose ourselves in the simplest of activities and thoughts. For that reason when we do things, no matter what, we don't really do them by fully getting into them. That leaves us at the mercy of living by moods so that we end up with anxieties, worries, downers and uppers, without basic confidence. No wonder our kids are floundering.

This is an opportunity to change from living by moods to living by modes. If you are already good at mode-living BRAINSPIRE will help you get even better.
